Mac Johnson Wildlife Center

Annual Fall Festival (October 22nd @ 10 am – 3 pm) – Lots of great activities for the whole family. You can enjoy the fall colours on a hike, watch the waterfowl on the reservoir in a canoe or kayak courtesy for the CRCA, carve a pumpkin at the picnic shelter and enjoy live music and popular dog cart races put on by the Mush Larose Association. If the fresh air makes you hungry, the Friends will have a BBQ lunch available at the Nature Centre.

Westport

Westport Area Fall Colours Studio Tour (October 8 @ 9:00 am – October 10 @ 5:00 pm) – Local artists welcome you to their studios on Thanksgiving weekend where you will discover an exciting range original work.

Brockville

12 Hour Food Bank Fill-Up (October 7) – Real Canadian Superstore in Brockville to raise foods, funds and awareness for the Brockville and Area Food Bank!

Sherwood Park Manor

Fall Bazaar (Saturday, October 22nd 2016 – 9 am) – Find new and fun crafts, Christmas gifts, bake table and vendors!

 

Hallowe’en Activities/Events

Pumpkin Inferno (September 30th – October 30th) – Step into a magical world, packed with pumpkins; carved with personality and lit up with wonder. Upper Canada Village glows in a spellbinding display of almost 7,000 hand-crafted pumpkins. Take a stroll under the stars and marvel at the eclectic display of scenes from exotic places and historic ages, to fauna and fora, and creatures of the night. See story book heroes, mythical characters, cultural icons and more… all carved from pumpkins!

Fort Fright (Open Thursday – Sun from September 29 – October 16, nightly from October 20 – October 30) – Fort Henry will turn dark during the fall season as ghosts, ghouls, zombies and more take over the fort’s garrison. Get ready for the interior ditch, dark hallways and tunnels to be filled with live scare actors out to test your goose bumps’ reaction. Try out our Total Scare for the complete experience which includes general admission, a coffin ride, and a Terrifying Tale from the Tunnels led by the Haunted Walk of Kingston.

Haunted Hay Rides, Spencerville (Friday and Saturday Only) – If you like to be scared then take a seat and enjoy a Horror-filled ride through Drummond’s Haunted Sugar Bush!

PFD Halloween Party (Saturday, October 29, 2016 9:00 p.m.) – The Prescott Fire Department is holding their annual Halloween Dance for ages 19 and up. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at door. Prizes for best male, female and couple/group costumes.
