Although it was a snowy start to the day, spring weather is just around the corner! By this time your house may be feeling a little drab and lifeless. With the upcoming mild weather forecast for next week, I decided to make this week’s blog about how you can get the interior of your house ready for spring. These tips are especially helpful if you are staging your home to sell to attract a potential buyer!
Change Up the Wall Art
Do you have a colorless winter scene or gray toned art on your walls? Try adding some colorful art or something less heavy looking than a frame.
Switch up the Bedding
It may be a little too early for this one, but once the mild weather gets here, ditch that duvet for some lighter sheets that are more cheerful and breezy in colour.
Add Some Green
Everyone knows spring is all about bright and cheery colours, but don’t forget about green! After months of snow, rain, and freezing temps, the best way to celebrate spring is by bringing a few fresh plants indoors to breathe some life into a room.
The ultimate low cost decorating tip. Try rearranging your living room, for example moving furniture away from windows to let the sun shine in and open up your space!
Different Scents Make Sense
Change your cinnamon or vanilla air fresheners, warmers or candles to something like fresh linens or anything citrusy.
Embrace the Florals
Nothing reminds you more of spring than flowers blooming! Try swapping out your current pillows and curtains for something a little more floral. You will be surprised the pop it will add to a room.
Make sure and keep following my blog! With the mild temperatures set for the weekend and snow melting, I will be blogging next week about getting the exterior of your home spring ready!
